I am reeeeeally proud of this one. It took forever, but it was worth it! ((lolRarityquotereferenceftw))
Princess Luna is such a beautiful character, I just could not help but draw her. I absolutely looooved her old mane, but I'm also in love with her new look as well. She's just all around a gorgeous character and great fun to draw.
But I was a little disappointed with the new episode, "Luna Eclipsed". I looooove Luna, and I did really like the way that she wasn't accustomed to modern times and that she seemed to have aged since we saw her last, but something about the episode just... didn't click with me. Idk, it just wasn't very good in my opinion. Except the part with Fluttershy. That was my favorite part - it made me laugh so hard.
So anyway, yeah! I worked reeeally super hard on this picture and tried out a BUNCH of new things for the background and for Luna's shading, and I, personally, am really happy with the result. I tried my best at making the borders of her mane/tail look transparent, and I'm actually quite pleased with myself. Not to toot my own horn or anything... >>
EDIT: Holy crackers and cheese, this drawing was featured at the #1 spot in Equestria Daily's drawfriend #230!!! I was seriously shocked when I went on there and saw my drawing as the featured picture. Thank you so much Seth! And everypony else! <333
